The Fluidigm Single Cell Centre of Excellence hosts the latest Fluidigm C1™ Single-Cell Auto Prep, which is based on Fluidigm's innovative microfluidic technology, enabling researchers to rapidly and reliably isolate, process, and profile individual cells for genomic analysis.

The Centre also hosts a Fluidigm Biomark™ HD system, which enables automated high throughput qPCR of over 9,000 reactions in a single run. The Biomark™ HD system utilises the company's innovative integrated fluidic circuits (IFCs) to automate PCR reactions in nanolitre volumes.

Together, the C1 and Biomark systems enable high-throughput single-cell mRNA sequencing, targeted gene expression, mRNA sequencing, miRNA expression profiling, digital PCR, copy number studies/genotyping, targeted DNA sequencing, whole-exome sequencing and whole-genome sequencing.

To facilitate the use of the Fluidigm system, the Centre manages a 5,000 Taqman Library for use when accessing these technologies.
